I received a receipt for a donation I don't recall making.
Due to the various ways you can donate to a club or individual fundraiser, there are certain situations where there may be a delay in the issue of your tax receipt.
If you donated directly to your club and not via the project page on the website, there can be an extended time delay between when you donated and when the club transfers the funds to the ASF to process, reconcile and issue the tax receipt.
A common example of this is when a donor elects to make an 'Add on donation' when paying annual membership fees or when buying tickets to a match or event. These donations are transferred to the ASF in bulk by the fundraiser along with each donor's contact details.
This means you may receive a tax receipt for a donation you made in the weeks or months prior.
