Donation Status' Explained

Due to the nature of the various payment methods available to donors, there are varying processing times for funds. As such, when you look at a donations report there are multiple donation status types listed.

• Reconciled = Completed (i.e. the transaction has been processed through our payment gateway and the donor has received their receipt).
• Paid = Pending (i.e. the transaction is not complete, and the donation requires reconciliation. The donor has not received a receipt.) You do not need to do anything here- if the payment is not received, our finance team will follow up with the donor to finalise the donation.
• Failed / Cancelled = Unsuccessful transaction (i.e. insufficient funds in bank account). You may wish to follow up with the donor if the report doesn't show a second successful attempt.
