How Do I Register my Club or Organisation with the Australian Sports Foundation (ASF)?
Follow these steps to successfully register your club or organisation for fundraising with ASF.
Step 1: Start the Registration Process
- Log in to your ASF portal.
- Need help logging in? Reach out to our Customer Support Team.
- Head to the "Create Account" section from the left sidebar.
- Select "Club or Organisation" as the entity you're fundraising for.
Step 2: Enter Organisation Details
- Enter your club or organisation's name.
- Select the organisation type from the dropdown menu.
- Enter your Australian Business Number (ABN). If your organisation doesn’t have an ABN, tick the box, "My organization doesn’t have an ABN."
- Note: If your organisation doesn’t have an ABN, you’ll need to apply for one before continuing. Follow the instructions in the error message for the next steps.
- Note: If your organisation is already registered with ASF, you’ll see an error message letting you know.
Step 3: Verify Your Authority
- From the dropdown menu, select your role within the organisation.
- Tick the box to confirm you're authorised to act on behalf of the organisation.
- Note: If you’re not authorised, you won’t be able to continue. You’ll need to contact an authorised representative to proceed.
Step 4: Verify Eligibility
- Click "Continue" to move to the eligibility section.
- Your ABN details will be pre-populated from the previous screen. If you need to update them, click the “back” button.
- Click “Verify” to validate your ABN.
- Note: If the validation fails, it might be because your ABN or incorporation details don’t match official records.
- Enter your ACN (Incorporation Number) and click“Verify” to validate.

Step 5: Accept the Terms and Conditions
- Indicate the main type of sport your organisation participates in.
- If your sport isn't listed, choose "Other" and type in the sport name.
- Read and agree to the ASF Grant Agreement by ticking the checkbox.
- Note: You won’t be able to continue without agreeing to the terms.
- Click "Create Account" to submit your application.
Step 6: Await Approval
Once you’ve submitted your application, one of two things will happen:
- If all criteria are met, your account will be automatically approved.
- If further review is needed, your application status will move to “Pending Approval”. The ASF Fundraising Support Team will review it, and you’ll get an email once it’s been processed.
Eligibility Criteria
For a smooth application process, make sure:
- Your organisation has an active ABN.
- You're authorised to act on your organisation's behalf.
- All details provided (like your ABN and incorporation number) are accurate and verifiable.
