When an individual fundraiser turns 18, ASF policy requires that they take ownership of their fundraising account. This includes agreeing to the platform's Terms & Conditions, completing identity verification, and updating bank details to continue receiving grant payments.
To support this transition, ASF sends automated reminder emails to the listed parent or guardian.

What You Need to Do
For Parents/Guardians (After the individual fundraiser Turns 18)
- Log in to the ASF Fundraising Platform.
- Add the child as a contact.
- Enter their email and phone number.

- Ask them to check their email and accept the invitation.
- Support them in completing their profile and confirming their details.
For individual fundraisers (Once 18)
- Accept the contact invitation from your parent or guardian.
- Complete your ASF user profile.
- Review and agree to the ASF Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.
- Log in to the ASF Fundraising Platform.

Frequently Asked Questions
What happens if the handover isn’t completed within 30 days of their birthday? The child becomes ineligible to receive further ASF grant payments until the handover is finalized.
Can I (as a parent/guardian) still be involved? Yes. You can remain an authorized contact and continue to support the child using your existing login.
Will active campaigns be affected? No, campaigns will remain active. However, grant payments cannot be made until the athlete takes full ownership of their account.
Can I add my child as a contact before they turn 18? No. The child must be 18 before they can be added to the account and take ownership.
